Editing a Key File

I have a situation on an old filePro system where two occurrences of 4
digit data in a database (incorrectly entered) need changed. The system
is SCO Unix SCO Unix 3.2.5.06 i386 running (I believe) filePro 4.2.  The
outdated program is no longer supported by the vendor.  The system has
runtime only so no file creation or creation  is possible.  Of the two
screens, one is password protected and the other does not allow UPDATE,
possibly due to a script or processing disabling the UPDATE mode.  So,
my question is how may I best make the change necessary?  My first idea
is to use vi to edit the key file to make the two changes but the key is
about five megabytes in size so would I be able to edit with vi? Is
there an alternate editor?  I cannot create a screen so as to by pass
the UPDATE limiter or copy a screen to edit since it becomes passworded.

  Any suggestions?
