I don't follow the above statement.  Did you purchase the upgrade and not
install it or did you purchase more seats for your current version to stay
legal?

These are two different things.

fP Tech is not requiring anyone to upgrade.  This is not like purchasing the
Microsoft Action Pack where in if you do not renew, they cancel you license
to use the software and uninstall the programs .

Your use of filePro is similar to the licensing for anti-virus software.
The software continues to run but without the latest virus profiles.
