Since I only received 1 response to my questions, can someone email me fptech's phone number so I can get answers.  We are installing the new server in 3 weeks.
Thank you,Rick Hane

I don't know what I did with my copy of fpODBC because it was on my desktop 4 computers ago and  we use the FreeBSD version of filePro for nothing ERP related, so I never missed having fpODBC in several years.

HOWEVER I have that same setup running three different VM's for testing our ERP upgrade on,
So If you don't get any help, I would be willing to install it and let you know.

This would only work if your version (like mine was) is tied to a drive serial number and not the license manager, since changing drive serial number is trivial.

Subject: filePro version questions for new server

Good morning all,
We are installing a new server for our upgrade from MRP to ERP in 3 weeks.  These two programs are sql based.  However, my questions have to do with our version of filePro.
Our current version is fpodbc 5.0.13RN9 16 user with Quickstart (Windows network).
On the new server will be Windows server 2012 and Microsoft SQL 2014.
First question... Will this version of filePro work on this server version or are there issues we should be aware of?  If it will not work what version will we have fp upgrade to and the cost?
Second question... After installing fp on the new server, can we just copy over all defined files and menus to the new server? FYI on our current setup all data is held on the current server.
Final question... We do an update of data from sql to filePro every morning via odbc.  Would there be any difference using the new sql version?
Thank you in advance,Rick HaneDeluxe Stitcher Company Inc
