Thanks to all who responded to my initial email (reproduced below).
I have forwarded all your responses to the client in question.
To answer some of the questions that were asked:
1. I have always supported these clients remotely. I don't do onsite visits.
2. It is not full time employment, but a support when needed and occasional
functional enhancements gig.
3. There are three small to medium sized finance companies all running the same
application of which I currently have the master copy.
4. If there are any other questions, let me know and I will answer them if I can
or refer them to the client. If the client contacts you, he can answer any
questions you might have.

Subject: Filepro Programmer Wanted
Hi:
I am in the process of retiring, and I have been shedding clients over the
last few years.
I still have three clients who want to find a filepro developer to support
their application.
I have just finished doing a large project to enhance their system with
several new and complex functions, and now I have told them that I will continue
supporting them for a time, but I will not do any more large updates and I want
them to find someone else for support going forward.
There is one client in particular who wants to have a laundry list of
additional changes made.
The filepro application is a mortgage loan system with loan tracking,
monthly interest billing, and reporting. In addition, the system supports and
tracks investors who put money into one or more loans and are paid monthly
interest based on the percentage of the loan that they own and whether or not
the invoices for each month have been paid.
The system makes extensive use of the Print Wizard application for
generating reports to PDF, and for formatting and emailing invoices.
The system tracks loans, participations in loans, does monthly billing and
payments to participants, but exports all general ledger transactions to
Peachtree Accounting where the company books are kept.
All three clients are located in the Boston area.
Obviously, a thorough knowledge of Filepro is a requirement, and a knowledge
of loan and accounting systems is a big help.
Please reply to this email to indicate your interest and, if possible,
attach a resume of your past experience as a Filepro developer.
Thanks,
Del Neroni
