OT: router question

I have a client who has fiber internet service and just upgraded his speed to 100Mbs.

Windows network

Currently they have:
48 cameras - video streaming to the main office
Approximately 20 wireless connections using 2.4Mhz - mostly cell phones or tablets streaming music

35 computers plus 1 file server

The file server and 5 computers have access to the internet (see wireless).

The wired portion is gigabit.

As they want to continue to allow wireless connections, I have suggested that the wireless be shut down on the current router and a second router be set up for wireless services.

Besides the obvious security advantage of having these two networks totally separate, would they gain better performance on the wired network side?

The last step will be to move the 3 DVR's to their own router.

I am more concerned with the internal wired performance then the external internet connection speed. Although that is of importance to the owner as he views the surveillance cameras from his office to the warehouse. He paid cablevision to pull the fiber to his warehouse as the T1 line he had was too slow.
