to the degree people would avoid upgrading to a version which contains it?

Why would you even bring it up, since it's such a non-issue?

If it's even -suspect- to the point you'd bring it up as a possibility, and
the symptoms are a non-responsive application, you have exemplary evidence
of why there's staunch resistance to upgrading.

Everything you've ever said about how the LM is a non-issue was just erased
with one suggestion.
