General discussion fp and sql

Richard--while not exactly what you ask, we do something somewhat related. For reporting purposes, we will export filePro tables to MS SQL and then utilize .NET to access data for reporting needs.

We've also developed a web service that lets us consume filePro data via various .NET methods (again, mainly for reporting or interoperability with other systems).

Subject: General discussion fp and sql

I know this might sound crazy but is anyone using SQL tables as a front end on filePro?  I like the use of .Net screens and report writers like devExpress but these only work with SQL and not fp.  (To my knowledge).
I comes down to having to either rewrite years and hundreds of thousands of lines of code or see if the above is possible.
I would appreciate any thoughts, comments or possible solution.
Thank you in advance,Rick HaneYore Software Company
