The first computer I ever used (though I never got to actually see it), had 
a few hundred K of storage available (IIRC) for our account, and a 110bps 
full-duplex connection.  (I have to point out to my kids that there is no 
"M", or even a "K", prefix there.)

I now have 1.5TB on my laptop, with a 50/25Mps connection to the outside 
world.  I've never tried an image backup via WiFi, saving that for the 
portable USB drive, which takes a couple of ours to backup and verify. 
Offline backups via the WiFi are done in background, so you can't really put 
a timer on it.
