I'm glad the recovery company was able to take care of you.  I fully understand what you mean about the "at my age" comment and reconstructing all those years of work.  Oh, I retired from about 40 years of computer work (most of those involved some form of filePro) at the end of last year.  I'm just involved in photography and videography now.

Remember, off-site backups are your friend.  :)

You will recall that a fire consumed my office last May.

The soot-encrusted drives from my HP 370 went off to a company called Salvage Data.

Seven months and mucho moolah later, I have my files back, on a USB hard drive.  There are scads of scripts and programs that I wouldn't at my age have the intellectual energy to re-create.

Life is pretty damn good.
