Why not look into motor bikes - No peddling and can be either gas or electric.
I had one from France years ago. Had a 1 cylinder 2 cycle engine and got 75 mile to the quart of gas and a cap full of oil. I used to go to the gas station and wait. If the attendant lifted the nozzle out after filling a tank and held it up, I would go to that pump and dump the gas into may tank. That usually just about filled it. No this was at a service station where my family had their cars serviced and got gas. That was 5 cars, so the owner did not mind. In fact, in those days, if I actually pumped the gas, the total was less the a dime. I was rarely charged for the gas. Some of you will to a quick calculation and figure out how long ago that was. :)
