Yes, an inkjet cartridge is (usually) less expensive than a toner cartridge.
But, how many pages do you get from an inkjet cartridge versus a laserjet
toner cartridge?

Maybe they should also take a look at this:

http://www.theguardian.com/money/2013/feb/23/printer-ink-cartridges-paying-more-getting-less

(In short, inkjet cartridges have remained the same size, but contain less
ink than they used to.)

And then there's the fact that many inkjet printers say "empty" when there's
still up to 1/3 of a cartridge of ink left.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2984172/printers/printer-cartridges-epson-flags-as-empty-still-have-a-lot-of-ink-in-the-tank.html

And the drying/clogging issues on inkjet printers which doesn't exist on
laserjets. (How much ink is wasted during a "clean print heads" operation?)

Etc., etc., etc.

Why not get them to calculate the cost-per-page of their current printers,
versus what it would be on a "cheap inkjet printer"?
