Yes it was an artifact of copy/paste.

    Are you sure that the length of field 96 is 8?  (to allow for the
slashes)  

    Why do you have a * in this:  > Enter Field > @td*           |/OV     |

    Or is the * an artifact of cutting and pasting it?  On filePro 5.0.14 I
get:

Enter Expression >  @td                 þ |01/18/16|

     If I put the * behind @td, I get a syntax error, not /OV.
