5.0.15 Filepro, Licensing Question

The license file is a small file under 1k, in ${PFDATA}${PFDIR}/fp/lib
(ex: /u/appl/fp/lib on my machine). I don't remember where it goes on
Windows.

There is no license file for 5.0.14 or lower.

There is a simple license *number* that goes with every purchase.

All of your license numbers start with your fptech account number.
So if your fptech account number is 12345, you will have license numbers
that look like this: 12345#####-###

You probably don't need to know any license numbers, just your fptech
account number and password for the fptech web site.

You just sign in to the fptech web site with your account number then
you can get a list of all licenses purchased under that account, and
download any of them.

(If a customer got their own instead of through you, they will have to
either find that info in their records or recover it from fptech same as
you would do for yourself. Then you could re-download their package and
license file if any.)

Your account number should be in at least one email from fptech in the
past, also if you ever got a copy on CD, then I think the license number
was printed in the liner or on a sticker in there too, and your account
number is the first 5 digits of that license number. Or you should be
able to just call or email them and get your account number and
set/reset a password, and then everything else is there on the web site.

For 5.0.14 you just download the package itself and use it, no extra
steps with any license file.

For 5.0.15 or later, you can download a new license from the web site
fro the same place where you download the package itself. You have to
email support if you need to change anything about the license, like if
it was tied to a mac address of a server nic, and you need to change the
mac address for a new server with a new nic.
