Thanks for that idea, Bob. I'm going to add one of their workstations
to /etc/hosts and then reboot to see if that has any effect on FTP.
I don't have any control over their network setup and they did move to
a new building in January. They first mentioned the network slowness in
March. I wonder if their network guy changed something on their network in
the server shuffle. On one of their Windows 7 workstations, I had them do
an" ipconfig /flushdns" command, but that didn't seem to help the problem.
From their Windows 7 workstations in Chicago, they were able to FTP to
my servers back in Green Bay and got quick logins and normal file transfer
times, so I don't know what their network might have to do with the problem.
