FilePro and Anti-Virus

Guys and Gals,

I post this as a public service to users of WIndows Filepro versions.
One of my clients has a large network with WIN7 and WINXP (getting
upgraded while we speak) and a Windows Server 2008 - not sure if they
already upgraded the server. The techs are working through the system

But to get to the point, the tech staff decided that some (all as they
had time) needed to have Anti-Virus software installed on their local PC
Client.

(There is already stuff installed on the Mail Server, but to be extra
careful that was the plan.)

She chose PANDA and installed it on about 7 machines earlier this week.
PANDA removed stuff off the server - which is mounted to the clients.
PANDA removed .dll files so stuff did not work. PANDA changed the
security settings on P.EXE file that everyone uses to start filepro so
that some computers could access but others - even those with admin
permissions - could not execute the file. It removed utilities
installed on the server.

What a mess. So if anyone is looking for a anti-virus software and was
considering PANDA - look again. By the way I found a page that had TOP
10 anti-virus software and PANDA was listed at #10.

Well I hope this saves you some time and effort.
Nancy
