Greetings to all.  We have made it well into the new year and we hope everyone is having great one.  filePro has made great strides in adding new features and improvements. Many of the new items were suggestions that came from you, our very much appreciated group of end-users, resellers, and developers.   For all your input, thank you!

The BIG NEWS of this email is that we are pleased to announce the release of filePro version 5.8.

In tandem, we are releasing the final bug fix version of 5.7.XX.09   The readme for it is the same as for 5.8 at: http:/www.fptech.com/News/readme050800.pdf

Because of the high level of success of the Update Subscription Program (USP), we have reduced the annual fee structure.  We have so many new and creative suggestions from our growing list of  USP  customers.  Many wanted to take advantage of spreading the upgrade costs while others wanted to be a part of the development cycle and have their input get priority considerations.  The advantages to the program have been received very well and we are very pleased to be able to reduce the cost so that more will join in.

filePro will no longer be compiled for OpenServer 5.  The last compile for that version of SCO was 5.7.XX.09   We had to move on past the limitations of that version and we found it to difficult to maintain.

Our team is working hard on a new website that we hope will be fresh and easier to use.  It will incorporate many of the new features of filePro as well as updated technical documents, specs and flyers.  If all goes well, it should be active sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year.
