I doubt there will be "Service Packs" as we've known them. Microsoft
has indicated that there won't be any service packs, but rather a 10.1
upgrade, as there was with the Win 8 to 8.1 upgrade.
However, given the rapid adoption of Windows 10 amongst my customers, if
Win 10.1 requires a complete wiping of Win 10 and reinstallation of all the
apps, like the 8 to 8.1 upgrade did, then I am going to have a LOT of
unhappy Windows 10 users...
filePro tie-in: Hopefully filePro is working OK on Windows 10. Lots
of software developers have been sitting on their hands during the Win 10
beta testing.
It's especially sad that some of the non-profits I work with are
being told that programs like ParishSoft and many of their Citrix apps are
not working with Windows 10. Several users at some of the local non-profits
already upgraded to Windows 10 on their desktops and now they are stuck
until I can either back-rev them to Win 7 or get them a different Win 7
machine for these specific apps.
