As I previous mentioned, I have been running an evaluation copy of Windows 10 enterprise on my IBM ThinkPad T500.
The early version ran very nicely on that hardware. As the evaluation version got closer to release, I started to have problems with the installation. Sometimes the update would not work or it would update the version and once it booted up and downloaded some additional updates, the system would either freeze or just would not boot except in safe mode.
Guess what, the same thing occurred with the actual release. Since I had totally removed the 32bit Windows 7 Pro, I installed Window 8.1 Pro 64bit version. Lenovo has update drivers for my T500 and Windows 8.1.
Be careful of the system and hardware requirements for Windows 10 Enterprise. I may try installing Windows 10 Pro 64bit as some of the more advanced functions are not present and therefore it may run on my old hardware.
By the way, the Windows 10 interface is more like Windows 7 then Windows 8.1 making it easier to get used to. Windows 8 or 8.1 tried to be too much like Apples IOS.
I will say that the program does boot much faster the Windows 7 but I don't have as many programs loaded. Please keep in mind I am using a 256GB SSD which replaced a 170GB hard drive. RAM is at 3GB. Not sure if I could take this to 4GB. I would have to check to see if there is a bios upgrade which might allow it.
Of course filePro runs just fine using Window 10.
