Mail "from" "FilePro Mailing List"

There is no via or setting that seems like it would make that happen anywhere within the settings on Kmail that I can find.

My identity is simply my name "Mike Fedkiw" and email address is "Mikefedkiwfp at aol.com" for this account.

I have no idea what's going on but I did start a support ticket with Kmail.

No idea if they'll go through but I attached a couple screenshots to this showing what it looks like. The one that shows filepro list is just me selecting it from my contacts to send this to the list. You can see my identity above that which is certainly not the list address.

This is the From: Header in his posts.

From: Mike Fedkiw via Filepro-list <filepro-list at lists.celestial.com>

My MUA, mutt, shows this in the message index:

... Sep24 filePro Mailing L 21 last update using get next from a differen

This is because mutt is reading my MuttAliases file, and finds my 'fp'
alias.

alias fp filePro Mailing List <filepro-list at lists.celestial.com>

So mutt is matching on the totally incorrect email address that Mike is
mistakenly using as his own, and displays (part of) 'filePro Mailing List'.

If I hit 'R' to reply to one of his postings, my messages gets this
header:

To: Mike Fedkiw via Filepro-list <filepro-list at lists.celestial.com>

So I can;t even enaswer him directly, since he's obliterated his email
address with that "via ...' attached to his name.

Mike, take that "via ..." nonsense out of your From: line.
