I think you are right that @UD is the record you are standing on. Ken will know for sure...

It's been 20 years but I seem to remember that once I had an Alias file against another file that I read the binary header as a field, and manipulated against that, and I am sure he will have a better solution if @UD is local only to the record you are standing upon.
