@BD (batch date) because you could have that row of data changed by code and
not human UX as well.
Of course all of this is not general enough because it does not deal with
deleted rows either.
What about using a different storage engine instead of native filePro?

One could have triggers to store timestamps that would not require any code
in filePro generate.
Things were easier in the 1980's when all we had was our trusty Tandy 16B
and a few Dt-100's and expectations were much lower.
