It created real world problems for us, other than the problems it
intentionally causes that is. We wanted those nested calls and larger
tok tables and 26 indexes.
We couldn't invest the time to track it down because to cause the
problem required putting it into production, but suffering the problem
in production was not tolerable.
It was quite a while ago and I don't have exact details. Things hung or
failed randomly. Maybe it was just when a new process was starting up,
or maybe it was also lookups or other functions failing occasionally.
The manager is granular enough to enable/disable individual functions
and features, which means things could fail at that level too.
We were using a local file style of license too, no network hiccups to
worry about.
Fled back to 5.0.14 and stayed there.
We didn't try very hard to resolve it because we've already tried very
hard to resolve other problems and offered to pay whatever they wanted
to get to the bottom of it after investing a lot of our own time too,
all to no avail. So, that would be a dumb thing to try again.
