While I used HP printers for decades, I won't buy another one
after my experiences with a new CP2024DN laser printer. My wife
broke something when loading paper, and the local printer repair
business said that HP wouldn't sell them the parts necessary to
repair my 13 month old printer.
Add that to very expensive toner, I replaced it with a Ricoh
Aficio SP C242sf multi-function color laser which has been doing
fine with our various Linux and Mac systems. The toner cost on
the Ricoh is about 1/3 that of the HP.
I am currently looking at GhostPDL which has the ability to
convert PCL to PostScript and PDF.
