Henry,
Use the copy function included in the FP Utilities to make a new (4th)
Filepro File. (structure only, no data)
Write a short program for each and lookup a free record in the new
filepro file you create and copy the record.
Do not delete the original records.
Concerns and Question;
Do you use record numbers as a key identifier?
You are going to change processing to lookup into this new file?
Have you consider using qualifiers?
Do you need to know where the original entry came from? Which Filepro File.
If you need more help, please feel free to call me at (713) 931-9938.
