personal label printer

I recently switched a doctors office client from SCO Unix to Win7 where
we print labels directly from filePro to a Dymo serial label printer as
patients came in the door one or two at a time. We used the Dymo 300
serial printer in Unix, but it won't work on Win7.

I understand from filePro support that any printer that uses PCL will
work, but I'm not having much luck talking to the manufacturers of these
inexpensive personal label printers (Dymo, Brother, etc.) to see if they
will take PCL output directly from our database to the printer. They
all come with there own software that wouldn't interface with filePro.
There are other bigger, more expensive label printers like Zebra, but
they are really cramped for space.

I could buy one and try it, but I was hoping someone had some experience
with this application and could recommend something that as worked.

Thanks

Terry Graham
