Record Locking Not Working

Ok, I created "Testfile" (very original name) with 2 fields, first and last
name, 20 characters each.
Added 10 records to the file, all blank.
Got into update mode on record 1.
In another session, brought up same file, went to record 1, and was able to get
into update while session 1 was still in update mode.
Same overall behavior as before.
That's it in a nutshell.

If the changes "stick", then you're not in read-only mode.

Set up a simple test file (say, just "first name" and "last name" fields),
with no processing, and expand it to 10 records. If you open two command
windows, and run dclerk on that file in both windows, you are able to update
the same record at the same time?
