lookup to a qualified file with a variable

I want to thank you all for your help. I have found that the two primary methods suggested both work. some of my intermediate attempts to get this working failed due to qualified index issues.
for the record, these methods worked
::company=“google”:
::ln=“employees@“{company:
::lookup emp = (ln) k=(usr) i=a -nx:
and
::company=“google”:
:;lookup emp = (“employees@“{company) k=(usr) i=a -nx:
