OT: Revised OT: what is a good Terminal Program for UBUNTU DESKTOP & filepro runing on a Linux server.

[Fairlight]

No terminal emulation is necessary.  Run the xterm of your choice and just
ssh to the server.  Obviously you need to do things like set TERM, PFTERM,
and likely use xmodmap to set your backspace key to something sane.
