The Wyse 60 -- *AND the Link MC5 *and* Adds 4000* emulations of the Wyse 60,
which really makes you wonder how they were 'emulating' it -- would *HARD
LOCK* if they received a... Ctrl-S (XOFF) character.
Generally, when you *send* one to a Unix box, it doesn't echo back; I don't
remember why we had it happen; 3270 emulation, I think.
But sure enough, we put some other kind of terminal in hexdump mode, and
that's what was coming back.
And when I say hard, I mean -=*!HARD!*=-: you could not even get the terminal
into setup mode at that point, a power cycle was the only thing that would
recover it.
I would bet cash it was never fixed, anywhere ever.
Software Wyse 60 emulators (yes, I tested one, though I don't recall what)
didn't do it. This was ca 1995 or so.
