I've used it.  :-)

At its simplest, just about any output using one of the PCL print code 
tables (and which doesn't hard-code PCL escape codes in processing) should 
be able to switch to the "fpml" print code table, and set the destination to 
"PDF:something", and have it "just work".

You can, of course, do much more than that.

What sort of "hints" are you looking for?
