I rather like my idea of doing responsive web site design with media
queries, and then turning it into a mobile app, using DreamWeaver CS6,
PhoneGap, OneGate, Apache, and filePro.

-That- could actually be an opportunity for dragging fP applications into
the 21st century. fP-based web services provide the data via AJAX, and the
rest is compiled into a native mobile application for your choice of mobile
OS.

I actually have all the tools I need. I just haven't had a client who
wanted a mobile app and was willing to pay for development - yet. I have
suggested it for one client through a colleague, but the discussion hasn't
taken place yet between those two. Given the right business, a branded app
makes a lot of sense.

Additionally, it's actually a potential money-saver, as the responsive
layout means you can, if you don't require mobile-device-specific features,
knock out both the normal website and the mobile app all in one shot. That
seems to be what the docs indicate.
