Dclerk -RY flag

Hi:

In filepro version 5.0.11R9 in Windows 7, I am invoking dclerk on one file from another dclerk on a different file with a “system” command and passing it the contents of a numeric field (edit 13,,2) via the –RY flag.
This works fine when the number in the field is positive (no minus sign), but when the number is negative (has minus sign), the value of @py in the invoked program is null. No data at all.
I am guessing that this is because of the minus sign in the data, but I thought this should work for any data value.
Has any one else seen this result?
I can certainly work around it if necessary, but this should work, shouldn’t it???
Or am I doing something wrong?
