Works fine for me.
I log in
I set TERM=xterm
I run rclerk and update a record and esc esc saves it.

The only problem I have is a cosmetic font/character-set/language issue. 
The line drawing characters are all lqqqqqqk .
I haven't even bothered to try to fix that though so that may be 
fixable. I just don't log in this way enough to care.
