Hi Steve,
Thanks for the thanks. I was aboard the McCaffery from June 1950 to
September 1952. That shows my age. I was transferred to the McCaffery
because she was to leave immediately for the Mediterranean and she
needed a full crew. From the Mediterranean we went through the Suez
Canal and to Formosa, now Taiwan, and patrolled the strait between
Formosa and China for a few months. Then we went to Korea for a few
months. Finally we left for Hawaii. and the Panama Canal and back home
to the U.S.
I mentioned the problem getting worse, and what you said reminds me of
when I tried to prevent this problem by the code change that if the
first name or second name were blank than save = off. And then if both
fields 1 and 2, last name and first name, were not blank that turn on
save, which may have been the problem, and I did not check what SAVE ON
actually did. Now I will check.
