In fp 5.7 and up have a Environmental variable that you can use to allow the
index selection prompt to still use "X" to exit instead of <Ctrl>-<C>.  If
they are using 24 auto indexes then you would need to use <Ctrl>-<C>. 

If it is an existing application that users have been using for decades,
then it would be nice not to change such a much used key stroke unless it is
necessary to use the extra indexes.
