A fairly new client (3 months) was importing a data file uploaded from a bar-code hand scanner this AM. Window 7 client, Windows Server 2008, fP v5.6.03R9 (5 user). Upon executing the import, they selected the folder to import from via a listbox command, then received the following fP errorbox message:
Sanity check failure! Split<> len < 0
Tptr = tptr=<3,236,8224,1,0>
File=unitech@ index=which=1, nodesize=1024, entries[which]=8224
Count=8224, bound=4624, entries[1]=8224
Write this information down, save a copy of the above index, and press<ENTER> to generate a core dump to send to fpsupport, along with the index.
Press <ENTER>
Client imports data weekly from 6 hand scanners, each into their own dedicated folder. I had them try the import from 2 additional folders, each received the above noted error. We searched for the referenced core dump, but found none. After a client re-boot (no effect), we noted the indexes were locked. we deleted the lockfile, rebuilt the indexes which were previously unavailable in the import destination file, and the import ran fine. Can anyone tell me what a Sanity check error is and what may have caused it? This is the first time this client, as well as any of my clients, have seen this error message.
