OT: Internet connection tests

I use speedtest.net, but that's an umbrella for many servers.

I never really settle for the one with the lowest ping that gets
auto-chosen. Mostly because lowest ping doesn't mean they're not shaping
traffic or throttling. Many, many, many speed testing sites have servers
that throttle to certain speeds.

I tend to use the Towerstream server in Chicago. It's always been really
fast for me. Ping is 23-26ms, instead of the 15ms that a site that
auto-selects gives me, but the transfer throughput is what matters in a
speed test, and that's the fastest I've found.

If you want to test your ping/QoS, use pingtest.net separately. It's a
sister site. That one is safer to let autoselect.
