sockets

I asked for DAYS to send be the documentation about sockets. NOTHING....
Prior to my purchase I directly asked if the sockets could be reused and I
was told that when the socket was shut down it was available it could be
reused. Please see below:
NEVER, was it stated that the filepro process controlled this. It was stated
that when the socket was shut down it was available for someone else. In
fact the term filepro was never mentioned. So why would I even think that ?
Bottom line, everyone else in the world can control sockets with a
socketclose() Just because fp can't don't make it my issue. I've asked
fpsupport and sales for days and have never gotten a response. (See below)

>From FP:
If you only are using it for sending requests and getting a reply and then
shutting the socket down, it usually is very quick and available for someone
else.

Sent Monday- Maybe if they had answered or provided some documentation this
"misunderstanding would have been eliminated
I paid my money but never received any documentation. Now I'm at fault since
I didn’t understand hwo it worked. Well, I've been asking how it worked but
no one responded.

Any documentation on the sockets since I purchased a “development” license.
Sockets are not listed in the help.
Even though I purchased 6, only 5 are usable ?

When we discussed this, you stated that I could shut down the socket, and
then reuse it.
That is not the case. I have a socketclose statement in a called process.
I’m now out of sockets.
How do I get these reset ? More importantly, how do I get them to close and
be reusable ?

Please help as I have a client down

It appears that you believe that the license count is how many sockets you
can have open at any given time, which is not the case. It is how many
concurrent processes can use sockets, which is not the same thing.
