Everything I've read about Windows 8, tablet or desktop, is that it
provides the worst of both worlds.

There are various SSH clients available for iOS and Android that provide
good keyboard functions.  I have three, iSSH, TouchTerm, and Prompt, and
it's a toss up between iSSH and Prompt.  I haven't used any of these
extensively, much preferring remote access via xterms from my Macbook Pro.

There are also iPad Apps that allow full-screen access to Windows, but I
only know they exist as I don't Do Windows(TM) so haven't tried them.
