double trouble

A client is on a Small Business 2003 server that was virtualized using
VMWare by their IT people.

There is one filepro file upon which there are ten automatic indexes built.
When selecting records by ANY of the automatic indexes, every record in the
file appears TWICE. The indexes have been deleted and recreated them from
scratch, and the problem continues. Their IT person copied the entire
filepro system folder to a stand-alone workstation, and the problem goes
away. When running on the virtual server, there doesn't seem to be any way
to resolve this.

Any ideas? Anyone else ever encountered this? And if so..what did they do to
resolve it?
