Mac Parallels and the Delete key

      Has anyone used the Parallels Desktop on a Mac?  I have a customer 
who uses a Mac and Parallels to telnet/ssh to SCO Unix for a filePro 
application.  This works fine except when you use the delete key, which 
locks up the application.

The details:
-Parallels Desktop version simulates Windows 7 on a Mac.
-Hit delete to get out of a record, and it works but then the keyboard 
is disabled for the filePro app until you log out and log back in.
-It worked fine on the XP version of Parallels but not on 7.
-I tried 3 terminal emulators (Anita, Anzio, and putty) and they all 
have the same problem.
-It's the delete key with the backspace symbol on it, the other delete 
key has no effect at all.
-If I use VNC from the Parallels Desktop to remotely control another PC, 
then it works.
