Special Anzio features for filePro

Hi all,

Hope you're not sweltering too much this August. Down under folks, just 
never mind.

We recently released Anzio 16.3. There was no fanfare, because it was 
mostly evolutionary changes (and we ran out of suffixes after 16.2zz). 
However, there were a couple of enhancements late in the game that were 
custom made for the filePro arena, that we worked out with Scott 
Walker (thanks, Scott). They might be of interest.

We call the first feature "smart paste". Suppose you have an editing 
program on the screen, which contains a rectangle; that is, multiple 
fields of the same length, one above another. If you you set Anzio's block 
type to "column" and highlight the rectangle, and copy it to the 
clipboard, it goes into the clipboard as several lines. Now let's say you 
want to paste it into another record. The problem is in how to handle the 
ends of the fields. Previously, if the paste filled a field exactly, 
filePro would jump to the next field. But the paste operation would also 
send an "enter", and so a blank line would be inserted. Now, with Smart 
Paste turned on (in Edit:Advanced options:Mouse), a timeout value can be 
indicated. If Anzio detects, within that time window, that the cursor has 
"jumped", it does NOT send the "enter". The result is that you can copy 
and paste cleanly from one record to another.

Another scenario is where a user may be pasting into a similar multi-field 
block, but the text in the clipboard has come from elsewhere, such as a 
web page, so it is a continuous stream of text. Now you can set Anzio (in 
the same area) to word wrap the data, with a specified column width. The 
result is that you can paste continuous text into a block of fields and 
have it come out nicely word-wrapped.

To experiment with any of these features, simply download the latest 
version of Anzio Lite or AnzioWin. If you have a valid license for 16.x, 
it will be valid for 16.3.
