Export Field Seperator

Scott,
While I don't understand the need for 2 pipes between fields, it seems 
to me the easiest way would be to write every other field to the file.

export ascii out=myfilename r=\n f=|
out(1)=xx
out(3)=xy
out(5)=zz

would make a file that has:  xx||xy||zz

Seems easier than appending a pipe to each field.
