New fp features?

Hi,

 

1. Can fp indexes use functions as part of their expression?  IE: index on
upper(mid(field1,"10","6"))+".jpg" tag Photo   (note that Photo is the index
name created by the index command)

 

2. Has fp gotten away from the 24x80 screen format so that it can utilize
our new larger screens?

 

3. Has any more work been done with blob text fields for auto sizing of the
blob input boxes or scrollable fields?

 

What new features has been added that are now considered as a must have?

 

These are some of the big items that it will take to get management
interested in fp again.  

 

Currently, I'm doing 1 hour of fp work for every 500 hours of VFP, MSSQL,
and .net work now, and I must say it is nice and refreshing to sit down with
a clean palette and the confidence that I can create an application with
whatever behavior, look and feel I want without the toolkit telling whats
possible or not.  Of-course, you have to know the language/s, whether it be
sql, .net, or fp.
