I have numerous HP PCL 5 Printers and one HP Multi function Officejet 6500A, (PCL-3), networked, WIFI, web enabled, color printer that now works great in filePro with Bob Rasmussens Print Wizard. I bought the Samsung ML-2525 Laser Printer with SPL – PCL compatibilty to experiment with, NOT to swim with the sharks. All I was trying to point out to the filePro community was the detailed HISTORY of various PCL language versions.
Thanks for your keen insight though, I have some Shark Repellant in my old Navy flight gear.

The problem is that the history of HP's PCL has NOTHING to do with what
Samsung is implementing in their printer. What language do they claim?
You are attracted to the printer because it is CHEAP. It is probably
"windows only", but you will eventually find its failings. I can tell
you stories of people that buy the junk printer only to toss it after
spending weeks trying to get it to print a form that prints reliably on
their HP, Lexmark, and Xerox printers. Stick with an HP PCL5 printer.
If you swim in sshark infested waters, expect to get a bite.
