Since moving all workstations to Microsoft Security Essentials with an 
agressive scan schedule,
things have dramatically improved. The only thing we see is the lone AVG 
boxs we missed switching over
that can only be cleaned by Malware bytes and MSSE.

I never get the "my computer seems slow" anymore.
