OT: Win7 mapping to XP (was Re: Off topic- Map network drive in Win 7 to Sco Unix)

On a related note...

In our home network, most of the computers are XP (32-bit SP3), with a few 
Vista and Win7 mixed in.

All of the XP boxes can see all of the shares on all of the other computers. 
  However, the Vista and Win7 boxes can only see the shares on some of the 
XP boxes.  All shares on the other XP boxes cannot be accessed regardless of 
which account/password is used to connect.  (I have even tried a short user 
name, with no spaces or punctuation in the name or password.)  It's the same 
set of XP boxes that cannot be reached, whether from a Vista or Win7 system.

Any ideas?
