Subject: access a remote file by record number
The user is sitting in one file and wants to access a specific record number
of another file. I would like to have the user limited to only accessing the
file by record number only.
Instead of placing the user in IUA ("Choose Record Operation") and pressing
<1> for record number selection I want to place them in the record selection
field immediately.
I would like to use this type of approach:
system "/appl/fp/rclerk msx -s9 -xij"
The line above places the user into selection index <J>.
Is there some way I can use this approach to place the user directly in the
record selection field of the remote file?
Thanks for your consideration.
