Yes, if you set PFBLDFREE=ON, and leave the popup message on the screen when
it appears, then the freechain is locked, and other sessions trying to
add/delete records in that file will hang. However, that is not the case
that people have been reporting. People have been reporting that during the
rebuild things hang, or the rebuild constantly restarts.

It must be the "special" filePro version that you have, as my 5.0.12DN9 will
rebuild the freechain upon pressing "%", and release the waiting add-records
process.
