It's the shallowness of the talent pool on the user/admin side, not a fault
of the technical specs or implementation.  Technically, FreeBSD is possibly
even superior to Linux.  But the ones that can admin it worth a damn are
hardcore, and generally have better things to do than hold the hands of
lusers, at least in their opinions.

Let's put it this way...the people most likely to successfully -admin- BSD
boxes would be equivalent in talent and expertise to linux kernel devs.
There are just plain fewer of them.
